THE commandment.

Thou shalt not use a computer to harm other people.
Hackers nowadays are becoming smarter which is leading to many negative results on people, companies, organisations, banks....
The first rule for anyone to use a computer is that they should never harm anyone though it.
I have researched in cyber threats and found that people who use computer to harm others are very dangerous and the victim's life ends up getting ruined. Moreover, computers were created to help mankind and make life easier and more productive, so to even think of harming anyone with computer is unethical.

Essay introduction.

Many threats have risen in cyber world, because almost everything is being digitised in the current climate, due to such threats, proper security measures, secure cyber platforms and educating people of ways to surf safely online are all vital and are in need more nowadays then ever before. Hackers have become smarter and have developed numerous ways to hack people's privacy and steal their private and important credentials  such as bank account information. Moreover, they are easily able to victimise average online users and exploit their lack of secure surfing  online.
This essay will deal with the dangers of cyber threats, its consequences, their types and how to avoid being a victim to them, this essay also aims to educate the people on cyber security threats and to show them that it isn't something minor rather that it is a very serious and destructive if one were to be a victim.

Secondary research about cyber security.

There are many cyber threats on the rise and cyber security is in very need nowadays. There are many types of cyber security threats including phishing, key logging, cookies theft, bots, password cracking, ransomware.... I will be researching into the types of threats mentioned previously and how they are used to victimise average cyber users, also how destructive these threats can be and their results on organisations, governments, banks, ....... I will shed the light on how these same average users can combat these threats learn ways to be online safely. I will also focus on how much destruction has been done due to lack of proper cyber security.

Cyber security.

I chose cyber security because everything nowadays is getting digitised.Every single thing is being turned to "SMART" objects. Although, such a process has many advantages, it also has very dangerous disadvantages such as hacking. Hackers might hack others from a simple object such as a smart fridge which is connected to wi-fi. Hackers are increasing nowadays and the damage done by them is unimaginable, hence the need for cyber security is increasing globally and the jobs for cyber security will increase 28% in the next 10 years. Although smart objects help make life easier and more effective, but hackers are getting smarter and they will hack anything. From smart objects, they can hack the wi-fi giving them the chance to breach the privacy of the victim. Cyber security is very important nowadays in every place, from banks to schools, organizations, homes....

Reflection on my software skills.

I am a beginner in computing, specially in software computing. I had taken some computer classes back in school but that was in grade 6 which is like 7 years ago and it was all basic tutorials on how to effectively use microsoft office. Last year, I became interested in computing and started learning coding languages like html and python. While I have forgotten how to use html, I still remember how to use python and my knowledge in python is fairly good and a bit more than basic.I also know binary. I expect to excel in python from this course and improve my general software skills.
